Pre-course information for your training
There is important pre-course information to know before you join us. This is all the information you need to start your course, and you need to review it in detail. You can also call and speak to us on 1300556387 if you need. Reviewing this in advance, for example, public transport and parking arrangements will help you on the day. This pre-course information is to be read in conjunction with the Student Handbook.
PCI 1. What is the address?
The addresses for our locations can be found here, along with maps, and links to Translink Public Transport.
PCI 2. What time?
All machinery and certificate courses
- Arrive at 8:15am, for an 8:30 start
- Finish time is approximately 4:00pm
White Card – Check your start time on your confirmation email.
- Arrive at 8:15am for an 8:30am scheduled course
- Arrive at 11:45am for a 12:00am scheduled course
- Both White Card courses will take approximately four hours.
PCI 3. What should I wear?
For all courses you may be training in a commercial environment. It is recommended you wear comfortable clothing without loose items which may get caught on equipment, such as scarves.
Some activities are in the open. It is recommended you bring a hat and sunscreen. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Enclosed footwear like sneakers must be worn at all times. No thongs or sandals – you will not be able to undertake the course if you arrive without appropriate footwear. If you have steel-caps, that’s even better.
PCI 4. What do I need to bring?
All training and assessment tools, equipment and material is provided for your course. Pens, workbooks, learner guides are all provided. You only need to bring what you personally need for the day, such as food and drink. Fridges are provided if you would like to bring your lunch. All facilities have cafe’s within 2 minutes drive.
PCI 5. What identification do i need to bring?
Worksafe Queensland is the industry regulator for all High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) qualifications such as Forklift, Order Picking Forklift. They require specific identification requirements to sit an assessment. They do not allow us any scope for variation from these requirements. Select the links below relevant to your course.

If you cannot provide the required identification we are not permitted to conduct the assessment. We recommend either not enrolling, or cancelling your course until you have compiled the appropriate identification. Please refer to item PC10 for timeframes for cancellation.

There are different identification requirements for Certificate Programs:

One Stop Group will not be held liable for any matter relating to a student not being able to provide the required identification.
PCI 6. How do I get there?
We recommend you check your transport requirements well in advance – don’t wait for the day. You can check public transport options on the Translink website. If driving, we recommend checking Google Maps or similar to calculate the travel time, familiarise yourself with the location, and factor in any peak-travel delays.
PCI 7. Is there parking?
Unmetered on-street parking is available at all sites. Please abide by any signage that may be on parking spots.
PCI 8. How do I get in touch?

PCI 9. You have to review your Learner Guide (HRW Licence)
Before you attend a Forklift, Order Picker or Boom Lift over 11m course, you will need to review the Learner Guide. You will be given a hard copy of this Learner Guide during your course. This is also an opportunity to view the type of language and literacy requirements needed for the course. Select which guide you need below. You can come and go from the learner guide at any time.
It is your responsibility to review this prior to attending your course. If you are not able to view the Learner Guide on your device, you can request a hard copy by calling 1300556387.
PCI 10. What if i need to change the date?
No problem. Should you wish to postpone or cancel your course, you are required to provide two business days notice prior to the start date/time and we will happily make the changes you require at no cost.
Example 1: Your course starts on a Monday at 8:30am and need to reschedule
You need to advise us before Thursday 8:30am to reschedule for no cost.
Example 2: Your course starts on Wednesday at 8:30am and need to reschedule
You need to advise us before Monday 8:30am to reschedule for no cost.
PCI 11. What if I don't provide enough notice?
Cancellations with less than two full business days notice are not refundable. Fees are not transferable to another program. If you would like to have your circumstances reviewed, please download the Application to Waive Student Fees form.
PCI 12. What if I don't make it to the course?
Much like tickets on a plane, if you don’t make it on time, your seat is forfeited. Once the course has started, we are not able to reallocate your place, and the course begins regardless. Failure to attend will result in forfeiture of your place in the program and any course fees. PCI 13. What if I am sick and don't come?
Whilst One Stop Training is sympathetic to circumstances, this is a failure to attend the course and fees are not refundable or transferable to another program unless a valid doctors certificate is presented. PCI 14. What if I am running late?
Call during business hours on 1300 556 387. Courses are held in groups and once started cannot be restarted without inconveniencing the rest of the group. Late arrival may mean catch-up activities have to be completed in your own time. If you are excessively late it may not be possible to integrate you into the training session and has to be treated as failure to attend.
PCI 15. What if I am late on assessment day? (HRW Licence)
Please plan to be early for your assessment – if you are running more than 15 minutes late for your assessment you will not be permitted to start. This is not our decision – it is a Worksafe Qld Conditions of Assessment rule. If you wish to discuss this assessment condition, please contact Worksafe Qld on 1300 362 128 or visit their website and lodge an inquiry. Late arrival means you will need to reschedule your assessment and incur reassessment fees.
PCI 16. What do I do if I don't pass? (HRW Licence)
You can be re-assessed. It’s not all over. Your assessor will notify you and our Student Support Services on the assessment outcome, and make a recommendation for an assessment pathway which will provide the greatest opportunity for success. There may be additional fees in cases where unique support service requirements are identified. Please contact Student Support Services on 1300 556 387 to arrange this, allowing two business days for internal processing of your assessment. We want you to pass as much as you do, and will provide the resources required to do so wherever possible.
PCI 17. What if i need more training? (HRW Licence)
If your assessor has indicated you require additional training before you undertake the assessment again, you will need to contact Student Support Services as what will be required varies on a case by case basis. Cost: POA
Your assessor will notify you and Student Support Services of what options are recommended for your pathway, and why. Student Support Services cannot change the assessor’s recommendation.
PCI 18. Is it a guaranteed pass? (HRW Licence)
We cannot guarantee that you will pass your assessment, however, we will provide you with all the necessary support to best prepare you for your assessment.
You will still be responsible for studying your training material thoroughly. A training provider is not permitted to guarantee a pass. It is against the law.
