This is a one day course which covers the fundamentals of safe operation of a scissor lift, and results in a nationally recognised qualification.
It is a combination of theory activities in the classroom and practical activities in the yard, covering the basics of operation, motion control and working in elevated spaces. The course concludes with a theory and practical assessment of the knowledge and skills learned throughout the course.

Face to Face – Students attend classes at scheduled times and are presented with subject material by a Trainer. Practical training is delivered in a simulated work environment.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
LANGUAGE LITERACY AND NUMERACY
Courses are delivered and assessed in English. You are required to read comprehensive learner workbooks, complete a range of written assessments, undertake independent research activities and at times engage in online forums and discussions. Furthermore, the delivery mode relies on the extensive use of written communication.

You are responsible for meeting the minimum occupational health and safety requirements in practical classes. Your trainer will discuss these with you as prat of your induction.
If you fail to meet these minimum standards of dress, you will not be permitted entry into practical classes.
