Warehousing Training | Disadvantaged People
One Stop Group delivers Certificate II in Warehousing training to disadvantaged young people. Above all, the course is flexible to fit in with student and community needs. Warehousing is one of the largest employers in Queensland.
DELIVERY
An eight to 10 week duration is a guide. Additionally, catch-up days and support days are available for all students. Above all, this creates learning opportunities for those having difficulty accessing education.
This warehousing training is delivered inside your community based program. For example, young fathers, young offender or young mums re-entering employment.
OUTCOME
First of all, the nationally recognised qualification, Certificate II in Warehousing Operations. In addition, the program includes the Forklift Licence Course. Therefore combining course goals with employability skills.
After that, some of our clients have selected additional units. Additionally, this assists in finding employment. For example Scissor Lift (EWP) and First Aid.
STUDENTS
These programs are for:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Disadvantaged people
- People with disability
- Adult prisoners
HOW
Contact our office to arrange a meeting to discuss your needs and expectations. After that we can evaluate your needs and design a warehousing training plan for your clients.
An ‘ice breaker’ day before a course is a great place to start. Our team and your clients can get to know each other in a relaxed setting. For instance we hold a BBQ and a basic project involving the students. For example, laying out a mock warehouse together.
CLIENTS
We work with a variety of community and government supported organisations. This allows our partners access to professional, tailored training as part of their SQW programs.
- Youth Justice Ipswich
- Centre for Education at Kingston
