CONSTRUCTION TRAINING | Disadvantaged Learner
One Stop Group delivers Certificate I in Construction training to disadvantaged young people across Queensland. Above all, the course is flexible to fit in with student and community needs.
An eight to 10 week duration is a guide. Additionally, catch-up days and support days are available for all students. Above all, this creates learning opportunities for those having difficulty accessing education.
This Construction training is delivered inside your community based program. For example, young fathers, young offender or young mums re-entering employment.
First of all, the nationally recognised qualification, Certificate I in Construction CPC 10111. In addition, the program includes the Construction Induction White Card. Therefore combining course achievements with employability skills.
After that, some of our clients have selected additional units. Additionally, this assists in finding employment. For example Scissor Lift (EWP) and First Aid.
These programs are for:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Disadvantaged people
- People with disability
- Adult prisoners
Contact our office to arrange a meeting to discuss your needs and expectations. After that we can evaluate your needs and design a construction training plan for your clients.
An ‘ice breaker’ day before a course is a great place to start. Our team and your clients can get to know each other in a relaxed and casual environment. For instance we hold a BBQ and a basic construction project involving the students. For example, making a tool box to take home.
We work with a variety of community and government supported organisations. This allows our partners access to professional, tailored training as part of their SQW programs.
